David Scales

David Scales MPhil, MD, PhD serves on the Advisory Board of 1for3.org and is a research and program advisor for Health for Palestine. He has extensive experience with various NGOs in the region, serving on the board of Questscope and having volunteered to provide medical assistance to Syrian refugees in Jordan. Trained in Sociology and Internal Medicine, his interests center on structural determinants of health, health disparities, and medical communication.

Bram Wispelwey

Bram Wispelwey is a Hospitalist and Associate Physician in the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women’s Hospital as well an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is a Co-founder and Chief Strategist of Health for Palestine. Dr. Wispelwey’s research focuses on structural racism in hospital triage, ethics, community health worker impact, social and political barriers to health, and colonial violence. Before his medical career, Dr. Wispelwey pursued LGBT-rights activism. He is currently an Atlantic Health Equity Fellow.

Henry Louis

As the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation and an International Advisor, Dr. Louis's responsibilities include supervising all activities related to qualitative and quantitative data collection on program activities. Furthermore, alongside the team of international advisers, Dr. Louis contributes to a diverse array of development efforts including community organizing. His passion for working alongside community members and pursing health equity and social justice have dragged him across the world, from Egypt to Armenia to his current beloved Palestine.

Devin Atallah

Devin G. Atallah, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Psychology, Racial/Cultural Focus, with the Psychology Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Dr. Atallah is a Palestinian Chilean American who engages decolonizing, narrative, and community-based participatory approaches to critical inquiry and healing justice praxis. Across his work and communities, Dr. Atallah focuses on examining and addressing intergenerational, collective, and colonial trauma. In doing so, Dr. Atallah aims to uplift resilience, resistance, and decolonization in collaboration with communities on the frontlines of contesting racism and settler colonialism. Dr. Atallah is currently leading the Resilience Research Collaborative (RRC), which is an initiative launched by his research team at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and works through a partnership with 1for3, the Lajee Center, and Health 4 Palestine to design, implement, and evaluate an intervention manual for the H4P Community Health Workers. The RRC focuses on training, guiding, and capacitating the CHWs in their work to provide trauma-informed, psychosocial support to their patients in the Aida and Al-Azza refugee camp communities grounded in decolonial, anti-racist approaches.
