Human Rights through Health
Health for Palestine (H4P) is a collaborative initiative between Palestinian community centers and international academic health professionals. It is one of 1for3’s Nexus programs, which seek to support the water, food, health, and education needs of Palestinian refugees.
Health
Our international team of health activists is dedicated to grassroots organizing that elevates the individual and collective health status of the people of Palestine. With a community-driven approach, we seek to maximize wellness and address health barriers via social accompaniment and creative integration with existing Palestinian health care facilities. We facilitate community empowerment, resilience, and health with a globally proven and locally generated community health worker model.
Human Rights
We advance health through human rights. Actively resisting oppression is integral to our model of care. Oppression causes injury and we are unapologetic in exposing the downstream effects of settler-colonialism and ongoing violence on the health and well-being of Palestinian communities. Advancing human rights and social justice empowers Palestinians to lead healthy and autonomous lives.
Community
Our mission is to generate a people-centered grassroots health movement in Palestine. We thrive to strengthen local capacity and partnerships to develop a community-derived and driven agenda. We work to empower Palestinians through social accompaniment, patient-centered care, and shared decision-making. We hope to integrate community organizing and activism into our model of care to create system-level change across Palestine.
